Now that Harper has passed the three month mark, here are some of our favorite items.
Woombie: This has been a LIFESAVER for us. I cannot say enough good things about the Woombie. We purchased one when Harper was 5 weeks because I was sick of the swaddling blankets bunching up around her face as she would squirm at night, and the sleep sacks were either all fleece (too hot), or used Velcro to maintain the tight swaddle (too loud, would wake baby every time I needed to do a diaper change at 3 AM). Enter the Woombie! It is essentially a sleep sack, but is made out of different materials, so you can choose a more breathable one if you have a summer baby like we do, or heavier materials if it's winter time. It has two, two-way zippers, so you can zip from the bottom up to change at night without disturbing baby. If this isn't convincing enough, Harper went from sleeping 5 hour stretches, to 9-10 hour stretches when we started using this! I just purchased the convertible Woombie yesterday, which allows them to have their arms free, since she is close to rolling over.
Wubbanub: Harper isn't a huge pacifier fan, but when she does want one, we always use the Wubbanub. I love it because it's hard to loose, and Harper can have some control over grabbing and putting it in her mouth. She also loves staring at the giraffe and playing with it.
Grass Drying Rack: With all the pumping I do, I do a lot of bottle washing. I keep this on our counter and love the look of it, but also the functionality.
Diaper Bag: I love this Etsy shop that lets you customize a diaper bag. I ended up ordering the one in the picture above exactly and love it. It's the perfect size, the canvas allows me to throw it in the wash when needed, and it has the perfect size and number of pockets for diapers, bottles, and wipes. Plus, when I no longer need it for a diaper bag, it's cute enough to use as a beach bag!
Pants: Found this shop through Pinterest, and immediately ordered a custom pair for Harper. They were too cute to pass up!
Boppy: The infant Boppy is different than the traditional Boppy you see. I needed a place to put Harper down that was easy to move from room to room with me, and decided to try this out. This was probably our most used item for the first 2-3 months. It went everywhere with us.
Swaddle Blankets: I didn't love these for swaddling at night, I preferred the Woombie, but used these a lot for swaddling for naps, covering the car seat, or laying her on for tummy time or playing. Also function well as burp clothes when needed.
Activity Gym: We got this around week 9 for Harper, and wish we had gotten it much sooner. She loves batting at the bright toys and looking at the mirror. It's a great place to put her down when I need to start dinner or put a load of laundry in.
